Thailand would have to be one of my favourite places to visit within Asia. After experiencing two seperate trips a month at a time, I have plenty of great information to share. Thailand has plenty of options for the independant traveller, the adventurer and for families. You can choose to stay in 5-star accomodations or bungaloes & homestays like I did. My first trip which I did by myself in 2000 was through Intrepid Travel, my second in 2004 was with my husband. For this trip we decided only to book our flights from Melbourne and then book all accomodation and transportation when we got there. This is a great way to see Thailand if you want complete flexibility.
